The Masterclass will help you in estimating the potential penetration you can make into the grid with a suite of renewable with both temporal and spatial diversity as well as the technology diversity.

It will also address the key question of how one determines the level of demand-supply match. The participants are not required to be fluent in mathematical analysis and there will be sufficient interactive time to learn with your Masterclass leader as well as your colleagues facing similar challenges.

John Boland

Associate Professor of Environmental Mathematics

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA

 

 

John Boland is an expert in environmental modelling, specialising in time series, statistical modelling of climate variables and decision making under uncertainty. He has published over 70 scientific articles and is on the Editorial Board of Renewable Energy. He and his colleagues wrote the mathematical algorithms necessary for data quality assurance for the Australian Climatic Database, used as the basis for house thermal performance software calculations. Diffuse radiation models developed by his team are used in the Renewable Energy Atlas of Australia. He holds Australian Research Council grants in integration of renewable energy into the electricity supply and water resource management.
